Overseas Reservist Registration

Please fill out and submit before 31 May 2010 for the presentation of a special recognition ribbon and for future planning.  If you attend a Reserve Forces Day Celebration this year the details will also be used in the presentation of the Governor General's Commemorative Certificate.

It is just over 60 years ago that the Reserve Forces were reformed after WWII. Since then Reservists have been volunteering to serve overseas.

Reserve Forces Day 2010 will acknowledge those members who, when as Reservists, volunteered to serve overseas in operations or humanitarian missions and who have been awarded a medal for that service. This would include all Australian Naval, Army, Air Force and Humanitarian contribution and commitments overseas - e.g. Korea, SVN and CMF Observers, Bougainville, the Solomon Islands through to Afghanistan.

Completion of these details will give a brief outline of your service and will help us with the presentation of our special recognition ribbon and for future planning. Also should you attend a RFD Celebration this year your details can also be used in the preparation of the Governor General’s Commemorative Certificate which Her Excellency has approved for 2010. In NSW and Victoria the State Governors will host a morning reception on the official date for RFD which in 2010 is Thursday 1st of July. Your details will also be used for the invitation list we send to Government House in NSW and Victoria. Depending on where you live in other states and cities it will also help us to recognise your service in a special way.

As a reservist I served overseas and was given a medal for my service.
