In 2012 the main parade was in Hobart with a small event in Launceston.
Many people advised that they would like to attend Hobart from the north and north west of the state but it was too far for them to travel as many are elderly.
In 2013 we have decided to combine the two events in Launceston .
We are still presenting partner medallions and expect the event to be bigger and better.

MARCH WITH YOUR MATES 65TH ANNIVERSARY RESERVE FORCES DAY PARADE SUNDAY 7 JULY 13 HYDE PARK NORTH AT 1000hrs
March with your mates and show the esprit de corps and pride we share in the forces.
This will be a special parade to acknowledge the wonderful contribution of serving and former Reservists since the part time forces were re-formed in 1948 – it is also the 15th Anniversary since the first RFD parades in 1998. This year it is the 65th anniversary. The parade will also acknowledge the 100th anniversary of the RAN.
The parade will form up in Hyde Park North. Each of the five formations will have its own band so all can march to the beat with great military marches. An Information Centre will be set up near the Archibald Fountain.
Some special seating for those members who can no longer march will be available with a priority given to the 'Original Members' who joined in the three services when they were re-formed. Requests must be made through your Association.
The parade will march down Macquarie Street and form up in a U shape in front of Parliament House. The senior VIP
(VCDF Air Marshall Mark
Biskin) will arrive with a NSW Police and Light Horse Escort. After formalities the parade will march past giving an eyes right and turn left into Hunter Street and left into Phillip Street and halt and be dismissed near the NSW Leagues Club. The parade will be followed by Unit Association reunions and even if you are not a member of an Association you will be welcomed on the day.
Dress: Serving members – uniform with medals; former members - jacket, tie, beret and with own medals.
Free transport in the same manner as ANZAC Day is being provided in Sydney, Newcastle and Wollongong.
Boer War Descendants who have purchased a Descendants Medallion and whose veterans also served in WWI and in some cases WWII are entitled to purchase War Clasps to wear on the Medallion ribbon.
