Video The LightHorsemen
The director Simon Wincer and his crew have excellently interwoven a beautifully done drama with incredible special effects. The battle sequence at the end if the film is so powerful that even seen on video on an average size home TV it is astounding. Not only is the Lighthorsemen's assault wonderfully choreographed, but the reaction shots of the cast are well performed. You can see the private struggles going on in the face of the big one.

Just Released New Book “The 39ers”
The book, in A4 size, also contains many photos and newspaper articles of the declaration of World War Two and the Japanese entry into the war as well as articles of both surrenders.
The 39ERs are the members who were in the RANR, Militia or Citizen Air Force before WWII commenced on 3 September 1939. They were asked to write their story on the training before WWII, their mobilisation and war experience and their eventual return to civilian life. They are wonderful stories and photos.

Book “The Originals”
The book covers the stories and motivation of why members joined or rejoined the Citizen Air Force, the Citizen Military Force in 1948 and the Royal Australian Naval Reserve in 1950 when these forces where reformed after WWII. Many of the members’ stories tell of their WWII experiences and why they were then keen to rejoin and give their experience to the newly reformed units serving with former WWII members and young new volunteers. The book brings together the photos and stories of members who answered the call at that time.
It is a great read of their short stories along with photos of the equipment, weapons and ships they served on. It also shows the brochures used to recruit members at that time.
